Operations
Dawson County Fire Services operates eight (8) fire stations throughout the city and county. Four of these stations are staffed by volunteers, while the remaining are “combination” stations – meaning they are staffed by career and volunteer members. The department responds to over 2,400 calls for service annually. Our members are trained in fire suppression, education, inspections, emergency medical care, rescue, as well as a variety of other specialty areas. Our staff completes thousands of hours of training annually to be better prepared and to better serve you.
