The American Red Cross is a non-profit humanitarian organization chartered by the U.S. congress but in no way funded by any Federal, State or local governments. The Red Cross is entirely funded through the generosity of the American people. We help the American public prepare for and respond to any disaster, both natural & manmade, along with furnishing aid to families of American military personnel.
