The mission of Dawson Transit it to provide quality, timely and cost effective transportation services for all Dawson County citizens.
Dawson Transit has been providing public transportation services since the spring of 2001 for residents of Dawson County. Hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. Bus services are available for residents of all ages. Riders under 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. For children under 6, the adult accompanying the child must provide a child safety seat. Dawson Transit currently operates 4 buses that are equipped with wheelchair lifts; these buses meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Our staff is well trained to assist riders on and off the vehicle and to secure your wheelchair so that you arrive to your destination safely.

Dawson Transit operates on an advanced reservation basis, and on a first come first serve basis. To schedule a trip, call our office between 7:30AM and 3:00PM Monday - Friday. Please schedule your trip at least 24 hours before your requested trip time. Calls for service made the same day will be taken if possible.
