The Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office has moved to 96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Our office is on the corner of Maple & Academy Street, across or adjacent to the cemetery.

2010 Election Event Dates
Pleased by advised that " all East Precinct Voters" will be voting at Dawson County EMS Station 2 at 145 Liberty Drive, near the Tractor Supply Store on Hwy 53.
Early/Advance Voting for the November 2nd General Election starts
Monday, September 20th to Friday, October 29th.
The hours of operation are from Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Early voting will be conducted at the Board of Elections Office at 96 Academy Avenue, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
There is NO VOTING the day before each election.

The Board of Elections and Voter Registration became a combined board in 1998. It is comprised of five members; two from the Republican Party and two from the Democratic Party. The fifth position is held by the Chief Registrar who acts as Chairperson of the board. Each member serves four year terms with the current terms expiring December 31, 2010. The board meets at 9:30 AM on the third Monday of each month and all meetings are open to the public.
