Pre-season camps are the perfect opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season. The goal of this camp is to provide quality instruction in a safe and organized environment. Camps will be run by experienced high school and college level coaches. The camps will stress the necessary fundamentals of the respective sports. Camps are also designed to be fun with many games and contest that campers will enjoy each day. Campers will also learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will be grouped by age and ability level at the beginning of camp. This grouping will ensure improvement of each player, whatever the player’s skill level. Each camper will leave with a higher level of self-confidence, which is necessary for success.

This pre-season baseball camp will stress the fundamentals of the game, as well as teach the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and schoolwork. All campers will be grouped by age and ability. All campers will receive a t-shirt. Campers will be responsible for bringing their own equipment.

Day 1 fundamentals:
Students will learn new fundamentals in: stretching, running, throwing, batting, pitching, catching, fielding, and base running.
Day 2 fundamentals:
Students will review fundamentals and play simulated games
Each day, campers will break for lunch between 11:00AM and 12:00PM.

Campers will learn what it takes to make a professional video. Teamwork and responsibility will be a top priority as each camper will have a specific job, whether it be director, producer, writer, actor, or cameraman. Campers will start from scratch and take it all the way to final DVD production. It will be awesome!

Dawson Student Films is a group of Dawson County students that work together to create a wide variety of films here in Dawson County. Students choose from a variety of roles in film production, such as actor, producer, writer, and cameraman! The films vary from in-school promotions, educational character development films, full-length feature films, and various other video production activities.

Camps will instruct on playing the game of basketball, teaching skills such as proper dribbling, shooting, and defense (man-to-man &zone). Camps will offer substantial amounts of scrimmage games. Campers will also meet a guest speaker.
Ray has coached on the high school level and worked in the United States Basketball League with NBA coach John Lucas. Ray has also worked with players who have moved on to Division 1 Colleges and also to the NBA. Ray makes camp a great experience for those who love basketball.

“It’s up to you”
Niyelo is a ropes course-based program designed to help groups, and individuals within the groups, develop and enhance communication skills and trust amongst each other. The group will learn to set and achieve goals, take initiative and responsibility, and work thru challenges. By the end of the camp, the group will be more cohesive and will realize the importance of teamwork, while realizing their own individual potential and social responsibilities.
Niyelo course can be scheduled for teams, corporate groups, etc.

This camp is designed to prepare Parks & Rec. and middle school age athletes for the upcoming fall sports season. This camp will stress improving speed, agility, and overall fitness. The instructors will stress the importance of fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence. Instructors will provide group and individual instructions, customized to each camper’s ability and age level, while always using positive reinforcement.
