Prescription Delivery Program
Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services and Dawson County Parks & Recreation staff will pick-up and deliver prescriptions to Dawson County residents. This allows residents of Dawson County that are classified as high-risk by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention in relation to COVID-19, to remain secure and safe at home, yet still get their medications.
Program Specifics:
- Service will be available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday;
- Service area is Dawson County, Georgia ONLY (No exceptions);
- For same day delivery, forms MUST be submitted by 12 p.m.*;
- Forms received after 12 p.m. will be delivered the next day*;
- Prescriptions MUST be paid for already (No exceptions); and
- EMS personnel will NOT pick-up Schedule I or Schedule II medications;
*Please note: Delivery dates and times are subject to change due to pharmacy hours of operation and ability to fill prescriptions.
How to enroll in the Prescription Delivery Program:
- Call the Parks & Recreation Office at: (706) 344-3646 or Email us at: CommunityOutreach@DawsonCounty.org; or
- Complete the Prescription Delivery Program Form located under the Community Outreach section of the Communications & Public Relations Department.
What to do once enrolled in the program?
- Call your pharmacy and let them know you enrolled in the Dawson County Prescription Delivery Program;
- Pay for the prescriptions you have requested to be delivered; and
- EMS will call the number that was provided to confirm you are home and that they are in route to deliver your prescription.
