Job Title:  Firefighter/EMT Recruit
Department: Dawson County Fire & Emergency Services
Salary:  $42,247.56 Annually
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Performs a variety of emergency operations to protect lives and property in simul­taneous fire suppression, search and rescue, and patient care activities and assures that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations.

Job Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possess a GED or high school diploma, National Emergency Medical Technician Registry or State of Georgia EMT-B, I or A; Must pass Firefighter 1 through the four-week in-house academy (pay rate will increase to $52,556.00 Annually); Basic Life Support Certification (BLS); Valid Driver’s License and must obtain Class E or F Driver’s License within 1 year and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); Must meet all in-house testing requirements; Must pass a background check and drug screening.
