Job Title:  Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit
Department:  Dawson County Emergency Services
Salary:  $44,484.36 Annually 
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Perform a variety of emergency operations and paramedic duties to protect lives and property in simultaneous fire suppression, search and rescue, patient care activities and assure that all emergency equipment remains ready at all times to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations. 

Job Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D; Georgia State Certified Paramedic or National Registry; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support; Pediatric Life Support or Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support;  Must pass Firefighter I through the four-week in-house academy (pay rate will increase to $ 58,706.00 Annually); Valid Driver’s License, must obtain Class E or F within 1 year and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); Must meet all in-house testing requirements; pass a background check and drug screening.
