Benefits

The benefit plan year is in effect from July 1 through June 30.  The deductible and out-of-pocket maximum are on a calendar year.

New full-time employees are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment.  Dawson County offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, pet insurance, and 401(a), 457(b), and Roth 457(b) retirement plans (employees are eligible to receive the county match after 90 days of employment).  Dawson County also offers supplemental policies through Aflac.
