Commercial Building Plans

We only accept the submittal of plans via e-mail. This would include Building, Land Disturbance, Fire, and Sprinkler Alarms.  Please send all projects to smorgan@dawsoncountyga.gov  or   kwilson@dawsoncountyga.gov

First Submittal: PDF of stamped plans, Commercial Building Application, $400.00 minimum plan review fee (remaining review fee will need to be paid before comments are released).

Final Submittal:  PDF of Corrected stamped* plans, 2 Hard Copies of Stamped Plans

All projects will need to be paid for in full before starting any work (this would also include any re-inspection fees).

Once approved, all contractors involved with the project will need to be registered with Dawson County to obtain any inspections (there is no charge for this, only paperwork).

Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, Smoke Control Systems, Special Hazard Systems, and any other plans to be submitted to the Fire Department shall require a Commercial Application, an Electronic PDF of the projects, and a $150.00 fee to be paid.

The Certificate of Occupancy alone DOES NOT permit occupancy of a space or building. Before occupying a space or building, you must obtain approval and a C of O from The Dawson County Fire Marshals Office.
